Your first stop just outside Bath, is the famous village of Castle Combe. Nestled within the Cotswold’s Area of Natural Beauty in Wiltshire, this beautiful village provides a snap shot of real British traditional country life. Castle Combe is a often named as the ‘prettiest village in England.’ it features regularly as a film location, most recently in The Wolf Man, Stardust and Stephen Spielberg’s War Horse.

Within Castle Combe you’ll find a Market Cross and St Andrew’s Church which dates from the 13th century. The church houses a faceless clock which is reputed to be one of the oldest working clocks in the country. You’ll also find a couple of pubs, feel free to grab a drink or take a look before heading down into Bath.

On arrival in Bath choose to explore the stunning array of architecture, history, artisan retail. Visit the breath-taking views from the top of the Bath Abbey Tower. One of the iconic landmarks in the city, climb the 212 steps up the spiral staircase to be rewarded a photo to remember.

Discover the Pulteney Bridge – it was completed in 1774 and was inspired by Ponte Vecchio in Florence. Lined by shops on each sides, there are only four other similar structures in the world. Be sure to ask you chauffeur to stop by the Royal Crescent – its perhaps the most immediately recognisable street in England. The sweeping arc of Georgian townhouses made of honey-colored stone with lush green lawns was designed to offer exclusive country living in the heart of the city.

Bath has been a well-being destination since Roman times and this has been remarkably preserved at the Great Bath. As the most famous centrepiece of the Roman Baths, you can follow in the footsteps of the Romans around the huge steaming pool of hot spa water, learn about the medicinal properties and even taste the thermal waters.

If you’re keen to explore a cultural side to a city that is straight from a Jane Austen novel, you’ll find that Bath has more museums in a square mile than any other city in the country.
